Who we are

Nicholl Paskell-Mede was founded in 1992 as a boutique firm in insurance law and professional and civil liability defence work. The founders of the firm wanted to offer their clientele the expertise and practice standards of a team working in these fields, focusing on efficient claims resolution.

We represent an international clientele composed primarily of property, casualty and special risks insurers, in addition to a number of large corporations to whom we offer not only traditional claims-related services, including litigation, arbitration and mediation but also non-traditional services such as claims monitoring, claims auditing, policy drafting and review, and risk management consulting. We also act as defence counsel in other fields of practice, including class actions and product liability. Over the years, we have developed a level of expertise that allows us to go beyond the traditional service provider role in order to assist clients in training and to anticipate client needs.

Our team of lawyers operates out of offices located in Montreal and Toronto. Many members of NPM hold both common law and civil law degrees and are fluently bilingual.

The goals of NPM remain the same today as they were at the time of its foundation, namely to provide quality services at competitive costs to our specialised clientele.
